About The Position
Join Our Team as a Patient Escort I – Day Shift (Part-Time) Location: Wilmington Hospital Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Schedule: Part-Time Every Other Weekend & Holiday Rotation Required Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference in a healthcare setting? We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable Patient Escort I to join our team and support patient care by ensuring safe and timely transportation throughout the hospital.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain BLS certification upon hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods
- Basic computer and smartphone proficiency
- Knowledge of hospital layout and body mechanics
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma preferred.
- 2 years of customer service experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients via stretcher, wheelchair, bed, or specialized vehicle to and from various hospital departments.
- Assist clinical staff with patient transfers.
- Maintain and care for transport equipment.
- Attend training sessions and departmental meetings.
- Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or unsafe conditions.
