About The Position

This role is for a Patient Engagement Representative who will be responsible for connecting patients with the care they need. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and detail-oriented professional with a passion for helping others. This position requires a bilingual Korean/English speaker to support the growing Korean-speaking patient population. As a Patient Engagement Representative, you will be the voice of the healthcare organization, reaching out to patients to schedule appointments, provide program information, and deliver top-tier customer service in a fast-paced call center environment. Your role will directly impact access to care and patient satisfaction across clinical programs.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Korean and English (spoken and written) – required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-service focused, with a patient-first mindset.
  • Proven ability to handle a high volume of calls with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using EHRs, call center platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare customer service.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy standards.
  • Bilingual in Korean/English is Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in healthcare scheduling or a call center environment preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound and receive inbound calls to schedule, confirm, or reschedule healthcare appointments.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients in both Korean and English.
  • Accurately document all interactions in internal systems.
  • Follow scheduling protocols and call scripts while maintaining a courteous tone.
  • Address patient questions and concerns; escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Verify patient demographics and update records accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and support outreach campaigns as assigned.
  • Other duties as requested.
