Patient Coordinator (Full Time)
About The Position
Schweiger is a leading dermatology practice with a significant national presence, dedicated to providing excellent patient care and fostering a positive work environment. We are seeking a Full-Time Patient Coordinator for our Spring Street SoHo Office. This role is crucial for executing all front office duties and providing essential support to patients, providers, and the rest of the support staff. While prior experience is not strictly required, we are looking for candidates with an interest in healthcare, strong teamwork experience, a detail-oriented approach, and schedule flexibility.
Requirements
- Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent patient relation and customer services skills.
- Must be professional, reliable, and a dedicated employee.
- Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.
- Interest in healthcare.
- Teamwork experience.
- Detail oriented.
- Flexible schedule.
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare Experience is preferred.
- Medical Receptionist Experience preferred.
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems preferred.
- Prior experience working in a dermatology / medical environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Execute all front office duties and provide support to patients, providers, and support staff.
- Proficiently and efficiently handle all incoming phone calls, scheduling-related tasks, and online leads in a timely and knowledgeable fashion.
- Create a positive phone call experience for each caller.
- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s).
- Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability.
- Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
- Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities.
