Patient Coordinator at Rhode Island Children's Dentistry
About The Position
Rhode Island Children’s Dentistry & Orthodontics is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Patient Coordinator to join their team. They are committed to providing high-quality dental and orthodontic care while creating positive experiences for children, families, and patients of all ages. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while helping the practice operate efficiently. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and seamless experience for patients and families. You will support the front office by coordinating appointments, assisting with patient check-in and check-out, answering questions, and working closely with the clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow.

Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a dental or medical front-office setting preferred
- Previous pediatric dental experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and families with warmth and professionalism
- Manage accurate patient check-in and check-out processes
- Schedule, confirm, and remind patients of appointments
- Handle incoming calls and patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assist patients and families with scheduling questions and general office needs
- Verify insurance benefits and assist with billing and financial questions
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and information
- Support efficient patient flow and communicate with the clinical team regarding scheduling or patient needs
- Help create a positive and comfortable experience for children, parents, and caregivers
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and other applicable privacy requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment
- Support the team with additional administrative responsibilities as needed
- Travel between the Coventry and East Greenwich locations as needed
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
