About The Position

The Patient Coordinator is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to all patients, facilitating sales, and fostering a strong partnership between the retail and clinical services teams at Stanton Optical. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients in the store, ensuring an efficient flow from clinical services to the retail team and positively impacting the patient experience. Stanton Optical is a growing, full-service retail optical center dedicated to offering quality eyewear at affordable prices, featuring desirable optical brands. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience delivering outstanding customer service to patients and/or customers.
  • Effective communication skills with a diverse group of people.
  • Active listening, rapport building, and empathy with patients.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to address patient concerns or rebuttals.
  • Collaborative spirit, building respectful and cordial relationships.
  • Results-driven with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment.
  • Passion for customer satisfaction and maintaining a positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and customers, identify their needs, and ensure an easy and memorable experience.
  • Provide information on available promotional products and services.
  • Answer customer inquiries and gather necessary information to facilitate sales.
  • Foster a strong partnership between the retail team and professional services.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Enter new patient history and personal information into the system.
  • Complete pre-tests, including obtaining brief medical history, noncontact tonometry, auto refraction, visual acuity, color test, stereopsis test, and amsler grid test.
  • Assist the Management Team with patient complaint resolution and provide job status updates.
  • Ensure all patient expectations are met.
  • Maintain brand standards through basic housekeeping duties.
  • Execute simple customer repairs.
  • Assemble lenses into frames and edge stock lenses to expedite delivery of eyeglasses.
  • Ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Ensure brand standards are met in the lab area.
  • Notify management of equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, or incorrect lenses.
  • Track delivery time commitments to patients (Now Service, Ready When Promised) to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.
