About The Position

Children’s Dental Center is seeking a friendly, organized, and passionate Patient Coordinator to join their pediatric dental practice. This role is responsible for creating a positive experience for children and parents from their initial contact with the office. The Patient Coordinator will work in a dedicated call-center area on the top floor of the office in central Sioux Falls. Children’s Dental Center provides comprehensive dental care for children in a welcoming, kid-friendly environment, aiming to make every appointment stress-free, educational, and fun.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience in a dental office setting.
Experience with electronic health records/patient management systems.

Responsibilities

Answer incoming phone calls and schedule patients for dental treatment.
Triage and transfer phone calls as necessary.
Make outgoing phone calls to confirm patient appointments.
Update necessary documentation in patients’ charts.
Monitor the shared office email and respond to inquiries.
Communicate with external dental offices and handle patient referrals to our practice.
Follow up with patients, transfer records, and perform other scheduling-related tasks.
