About The Position

DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in its outpatient dialysis clinic in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The PCT provides direct, hands-on care under RN supervision and helps patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment. This position requires floating to clinics in the region.

The clinic operates from 5:00 a.m. through the evening. The schedule is 3–4 shifts per week, alternating opening and closing shifts, with shifts lasting 8, 10, or 12 hours. The role includes working every other Saturday, and the schedule is not flexible.

Requirements

• Accredited high school diploma, GED credential, or equivalent.
• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment.
• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet.
• Willing to float between local clinics if needed.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• CNA, MA, or CHT credential.
• Phlebotomy certification.
• Healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment.
• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment.
• Record vital signs and patient data.
• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health.
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members.
