This is an expansion position with a target start date of May 19, 2026. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic care to patients, ensuring safety, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality. The role involves daily comfort measures and positive patient interactions, coordinating care with the Registered Nurse (RN), observing and communicating patient condition changes, and responding to emergencies. The PCT contributes to the professional development and image of unit staff within a Shared Governance model. Responsibilities include performing core skills, practicing standard precaution and isolation procedures for a safe environment, and assisting with patient dining and self-care instruction.
