Patient Care Technician Part Time Nights
About The Position
Baystate Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join their Intercare team. PCTs play a hands-on role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care alongside the nursing team. Under the supervision of an RN, you will assist with direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, and vital sign monitoring. PCTs perform a range of clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and Point of Care testing. This role also includes assisting with procedures, patient transport, equipment management, and supporting emergency response protocols. Strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to patient safety are essential.
Requirements
- BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association, required (for all levels).
- PCT training or CNA training, preferred (Level I).
- High School diploma or GED (Level II, III, IV).
- At least one year of patient care experience (Level II).
- Three or more years of patient care experience OR at least one year as a level II PCT at Baystate Health (Level III).
- 4 or more years of Acute or specialty-specific care setting experience OR at least one year as a level III PCT at Baystate Health (Level IV).
Nice To Haves
- PCT training or CNA training (Level I).
