About The Position
Assists in the care of patients by providing routine, non-professional nursing care utilizing advanced medical and surgical skills typically beyond the Nursing Assistant level. Takes patients' vital signs, observes and communicates changes in patient conditions.
Requirements
- Current Maryland certification in good standing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Certification in Pre-Transport/Post-resuscitation Stabilization Care of Sick Infants Guidelines for Neonatal Healthcare Providers (STABLE) is required of staff assigned to 672 – Nursing NICU, 651-Nursing (Post-Partum), Nursing 708 – Labor & Delivery.
- Less than one year of experience
- Basic knowledge and working experience with Medical Terminology
- Completion of first clinical year of NLN-approved nursing program, graduate of an approved RN or LPN program, or EMT-B or Armed Forces Corpsman.
