About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The PCT performs duties within the limits of the position, does not administer medications or therapy, and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Duties are carried out in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform various patient care activities under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
• Provide accommodative services to patients.
• Perform duties within the limits of the position and in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
