About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. The PCT performs care activities within the limits of the position, does not administer medications or therapy, and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Duties must be performed consistently with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

Current BLS certification is required.

Nice To Haves

High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
Perform patient care activities within the limits of the position.
Do not administer medications or therapy or assume independent responsibility for patient care.
Accomplish job duties in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
