About The Position

The Patient Care Technician on the Surgical Unit, working nights, assists patients with daily living activities, supports the healthcare team by collecting, reporting, and documenting patient data, and maintains high patient and family satisfaction by providing care based on individual needs. This role systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of assigned duties, evaluates their own nursing practice in relation to standards and regulations, and acquires and maintains current knowledge of assigned duties. Patient Care Technicians interact with and contribute to the development of peers, deliver care in a nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory, sensitive, and culturally competent manner, and collaborate with clients, family members, significant others, and health care providers. They also communicate effectively with clients, families, and other health care professionals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Previous hospital or healthcare experience preferred.
