About The Position

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs. The role assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures related to their physical hygiene and comfort. Duties are performed within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team, sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed team members.

Requirements

• Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Be a Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry, or hold one of the listed credentials: Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• Have one year of patient care experience as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech, or in other relevant acute, direct patient care.
