About The Position
The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs. The technician assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures related to physical hygiene and comfort. Duties are performed within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team, sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed team members.
Requirements
- Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Be listed as a Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry; or hold one of the listed medical assistant certifications: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant, AMT Registered Medical Assistant, or NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.
- Have one year of patient care experience as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech, or in other relevant acute, direct patient care.

- Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.
