About The Position

This position involves providing basic patient care needs and prioritizing those needs. The role requires effective communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to report to work fit for duty, free from the adverse effects of drugs or alcohol. The job involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing patients and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Current BLS certification
• Understanding of meeting a patient’s basic need
• Ability to prioritize needs
• Ability to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and/or alcohol
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
• Ability to lift 20 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Fine motor skills
• Visual acuity
• Depth perception
• Manual dexterity (hand/eye coordination)
• Repetitive arm/hand movements
• Ability to hear alarms
• Ability to reach above shoulders

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification
• Previous experience in hospital or nursing home
• On the job training is acceptable
