About The Position
The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine testing in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology laboratory areas to aid physicians and clinical care teams in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent education and experience.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from ASCP or equivalent.
- Proficiency in performing routine laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Knowledge of quality control procedures.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
