About The Position

DaVita Kidney Care is expanding its dialysis services into skilled nursing facilities through DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services (DSD). Patient Care Technicians provide dialysis care in collaboration with dialysis registered nurses and take responsibility for patients’ ongoing care to help keep treatment on track. The role involves substantial one-on-one patient care in an autonomous skilled nursing setting, with a focus on safe, comfortable, hygienic dialysis treatment and clinical outcomes. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with no required on-call work. Teammates may be asked to support other local skilled nursing facility dialysis units. Technicians monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis, measure and record vital statistics, observe patients, and set up hemodialysis machines. The work requires ongoing attention, multitasking, independent judgment, and collaboration with cross-functional resources and skilled nursing facility partners. Training combines classroom and hands-on learning through DaVita programs and may take place at a facility or training clinic. Training hours may vary, but are typically 32–40 hours per week. DaVita offers paid training, reimbursement for the Certified Hemodialysis Technician license, development opportunities, and a benefits package. The posted wage range is $25.50–$39.00 per hour; compensation depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
