About The Position

This position is for a Patient Care Technician (Float) who will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital. The role involves working three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with rotating weekends and holidays. Requirements

• Must be listed as active and eligible in the Illinois Registry for CNA.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of fundamentals of nursing course and be registered on the Illinois Department of Health Registry or a nurse who has completed RN or LPN Training in another country and completion of EKG.
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Float to different units as needed.
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Assist patients with daily living activities.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the nursing staff.
• Document patient care activities.
• Respond to patient needs and requests.
• Maintain a safe and clean patient environment.
