About The Position

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. The Patient Care Technician performs a variety of direct patient care procedures, assists with patient testing and treatment, and supports physicians and professional staff with equipment and supplies. The position includes helping patients ambulate with assistive devices, completing required documentation, communicating effectively to meet patient and family needs and regulatory requirements, maintaining confidentiality, and using time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes. This is a part-time, 12-hour night-shift position on 3 NW.

Requirements

• Valid IDPH CNA Certification.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct patient care procedures.
• Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures.
• Assist physicians and professional staff with equipment supply and setup.
• Assist patients with ambulation using assistive devices.
• Complete required documentation and communicate competently and effectively to meet patient and family needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to protect patient rights.
• Use time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
