About The Position

The Patient Care Technician works in Acute Rehab on a full-time night shift. The role performs direct patient care procedures, assists with patient testing and treatment, and supports physicians and professional staff with equipment and supplies. The technician also helps patients ambulate using assistive devices and completes required documentation while communicating effectively to address patient and family needs and meet regulatory requirements. The position requires maintaining confidentiality and using time and resources effectively to support quality and cost outcomes.

Requirements

• Valid IDPH CNA Certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct patient care procedures.
• Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures.
• Assist physicians and professional staff with equipment supply and setup.
• Assist patients with ambulating using assistive devices.
• Complete required documentation and communicate competently and effectively to meet patient and family needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to ensure patient rights.
• Use time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
