Position Summary: The Patient Care Technician’s role in the Emergency Department is a dual one. The Patient Care Technician functions as both a clerical employee and as a patient care provider under the supervision of the RN staff. The Patient Care Technician’s patient care role is task orientated.
Requirements
- Work experience requiring positive interaction with patients, families and public.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Requires Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years patient care experience.
- Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant training and knowledge, EMT or Equivalent education preferred.
- Bilingual-Spanish Preferred.
