Patient Care Technician
About The Position
DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment. Key Schedule Needs: The days would be 3 days a week with float to other clinics to obtain hours Shifts are MWF 3:45a for Opener PCT and typically out by 11:30am Shifts for MWF Closer is 430a to 4;30pm close. Shifts on TTS Opener PCT 345a and typically out around 10a and Shifts on TTS Closer PCT 430a and out by around 3p. They will be trained to open and close, make bicarb, make acid, bleach machines in clinic.
Requirements
- Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
- Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
- Willing to float between local clinics if needed
- Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Nice To Haves
- CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
- Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
- Record vital signs and patient data
- Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
