About The Position

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. The system includes Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. The Patient Care Technician performs direct patient care procedures, supports patient testing and treatment, and assists physicians and professional staff with equipment and supplies. This is a full-time day-shift position.

Requirements

• Valid Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) CNA certification.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of direct patient care procedures.
• Assist with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures.
• Assist physicians and professional staff with equipment, supplies, and setup.
• Assist patients with ambulation using assistive devices.
• Complete required documentation and communicate competently and effectively to meet patient and family needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, and department information to protect patient rights.
• Use time and resources effectively to promote quality and cost outcomes.
