About The Position
DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. The PCT provides direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment. The role includes patient monitoring, dialysis equipment setup and maintenance, recording vital signs and patient data, patient education, and collaboration with the care team. The position may require floating between local clinics and a flexible schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Accredited high school diploma, GED credential, or equivalent.
- Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment.
- Physically able to work long shifts on your feet.
- Willing to float between local clinics if needed.
- Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- CNA, MA, CHT, or phlebotomy certification.
- Healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment.
- Set up and maintain dialysis equipment.
- Record vital signs and patient data.
- Educate patients on treatment and kidney health.
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members.
