•$25 - $32•Onsite

About The Position

DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for an outpatient dialysis center. No dialysis experience is required; paid, extensive training is provided. Training may take place at a facility or training clinic other than the assigned home clinic, and the technician may float to various clinics during and after training. The PCT joins a team of clinicians—including nurses, dietitians, social workers, technicians, and leadership—to care for people with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease. PCTs work under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role focuses primarily on direct, one-on-one patient care, providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment for multiple patients. Technicians monitor patients before, during, and after treatment; measure and record statistics; observe patients; set up hemodialysis machines; and educate patients about kidney dialysis. The position involves exposure to blood and needles and requires comfort mixing acid or bicarbonate. Patient care may involve building ongoing relationships with patients who typically receive treatment three times per week. Candidates need a flexible schedule and must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some shifts may exceed 12 hours, and the work requires being on one’s feet for long periods. Compensation is $25.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. The posting is dated October 16, 2026, and states that the position will be open for a minimum of three days.
