About The Position

The Patient Care Technician, under the direction of the professional staff, assists with patient care to provide support to the patient, nursing unit, and professional staff. Methodist Charlton Medical Center is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital that serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, and Lancaster in southwestern Dallas County. In addition to the new 40,000-square-foot expansion of the emergency department, we offer a newly renovated intensive care unit, labor and delivery unit, and interventional radiology suite; a Level III Trauma Center, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the Dr. Stephen and Marilyn Mansfield Oncology Unit. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility Or Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program Or Certified Medical Assistant program Or Nursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a Nursing Program Or Documented military experience as a medic/corpsman Or Foreign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S Or EMT Certification/Paramedic License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
