Patient Care Tech-Neurology/Urology-Nights
About The Position
Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care. This includes assisting with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse. The Patient Care Tech will also assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan and participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit. The role positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required.
- 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred
Nice To Haves

- 1 year of customer service experience
- Prior nursing assistant experience
