About The Position
Provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff and ensures patient safety and well-being. The role includes meeting expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer patient calls and help patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Feed patients and measure and record their food and liquid intake.
- Monitor and document patients’ temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs, and report changes to nurses or doctors.
- Assist nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.
