About The Position

The Patient Care Technician works under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and follows established procedures to perform patient care tasks and procedures necessary to support patients’ care, comfort, and safety. This part-time position is in Surgical Oncology at Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus in Elmhurst, Illinois. The schedule is 24 hours per week, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with every third weekend and holiday track. No travel is required.

Requirements

Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course, or at least six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent, or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
Complete the Care Companion Course within six months of hire when required by the department.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, ability to prioritize, and ability to receive and follow through on directions.
