Patient Care Technician - Surgical/Oncology - Days
About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and follows established procedures to perform patient-care tasks and procedures necessary to support patients’ care, comfort, and safety. This is a full-time position at Endeavor Health’s Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus in Elmhurst, Illinois, scheduled for 36 hours per week. The listed schedule is 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with every third weekend and holiday track. No travel is required. Requirements
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course, or at least six months of previous patient-care experience or equivalent, or completion of one nursing clinical rotation.
- Complete the Care Companion Course within six months of hire when required by the department.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, ability to prioritize, and ability to receive and follow through on directions.
