As a Patient Care Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role supporting patients during some of their most important moments of care. You’ll provide attentive, compassionate assistance with daily needs, help ensure patient safety and comfort, and build positive, trust-based connections along the way. From observing and reporting changes in patient condition to supporting the care team with day-to-day tasks, you’ll be an essential part of a collaborative environment focused on quality care, respect, and positive patient experiences.

Requirements

  • High school diploma OR GED equivalent
  • Completion of nursing assistant course OR currently enrolled in an approved RN, LPN, or EMT program with completion of nursing fundamentals course or equivalent
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to successfully perform in a fast-paced work environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support with basic clinical tasks within your scope of practice, including vital signs, blood pressure checks, specimen collection, and accu-checks—playing an important role in monitoring patient health and comfort
  • Help maintain a safe, calm, and therapeutic environment by keeping the unit organized, conducting regular safety and environmental rounds, and accurately documenting your observations
  • Support patients with activities of daily living while using effective, therapeutic communication to encourage healthy routines, confidence, and overall well-being
  • Encourage and assist patients in participating in therapeutic groups and daily activities, helping create a structured and positive experience throughout their stay
  • Respond calmly and confidently in challenging situations by using crisis management and de-escalation techniques under the guidance of licensed staff
