About The Position

Baystate Health is hiring Patient Care Technicians across multiple inpatient departments at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. These opportunities support nursing teams by providing compassionate, hands-on care to patients. The role is offered full-time, part-time, and per diem, with night shifts primarily from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and rotating weekend coverage every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification through the American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of patient care experience, including long-term care, specialty care, or acute care.
• PCT or CNA training.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities, mobility, hygiene, and comfort.
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake and output, and changes in patient condition.
• Assist with patient safety, treatments, procedures, and specimen collection.
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary teams to provide safe, high-quality care.
