About The Position
The Patient Care Technician works under the direction of professional staff to assist with patient care and support patients, the nursing unit, and professional staff. This position is PRN and works nights, with hours and days varying.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility, or one of the following: graduation from a certified nursing assistant program; graduation from a Certified Medical Assistant program; nursing student who has completed the first semester of a nursing program; documented military experience as a medic or corpsman; foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S.; or EMT certification/paramedic license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
