About The Position
Reno Orthopedic Center (ROC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Patient Care Technician to join their team. This role supports a smooth surgical experience and provides essential care and comfort to patients and their families at the main ROC location. ROC is a physician-owned organization with a fully integrated musculoskeletal health campus, offering on-site surgery, advanced imaging, therapy, urgent care, and specialty services. They have been a trusted name in musculoskeletal health in Northern Nevada for over 60 years and are committed to continuous growth and investment in facilities and technology.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Performing customer service duties

Responsibilities
- Serve as a personal contact, provide support and help to alleviate stress for families of surgical patients during the perioperative period
- Track the patient’s surgical journey and alert patient’s family of their status as applicable
- Observe patient’s condition and immediately communicate changes or concerns to the assigned RN or a supervisor
- Assist in transferring patients from bed to stretcher and vice versa as needed
- Follow emergency procedures including use of CPR if necessary
- Escort patients out of the building following discharge
- Stock department equipment and supplies
