Beloit Health System is hiring for a Registered Orthopedic Technician for our busy Orthopedics Department at Beloit Clinic. Shift: 1st Schedule: 8a-5p Hours per week: 40 hours per week Benefits Status: Benefits Eligible Department: Beloit Clinic Orthopedic The Registered Orthopedic Technician will assist medical provider with procedures, provide patient care, and perform procedures as necessary for quality patient care. Registered Orthopedic Technician will: Perform splinting, casting, cast removal, dressing changes and suture and staple Assist in the treatment of patients with orthopedic Instruct patients in the use of orthopedic appliances and cast care. Maintain cast room and inventory of orthopedic equipment and supplies. Assist the Medical Assistant in clinical areas by preparing x-rays and rooms as necessary, including rooming patients and other patient care functions. Initiate and maintain accurate electronic/paper medical records. Demonstrate ability to navigate and perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software applicable to department.
