About The Position

HonorHealth is seeking a Patient Care Technician for its Osborn Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ. This role provides direct patient care services under the supervision of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, and implementing selected portions of the patient care plan. The technician will also observe and report changes in patient condition, maintain medical record documentation, and address questions from patients, families, and healthcare team members. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
  • 6 months in acute care experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Certification Preferred
  • Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT) - License Emergency Medical Tech Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit.
  • Assists, observes, and reports patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.
  • Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver.
  • Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.
  • Assists, observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.
  • Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
