About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care which supports and complements nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Patient Care Assistant carries out delegated skills that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel. This role is similar to a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT).
Requirements
- Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
- Experience as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) is preferred.
- Must be able to perform delegated skills within the scope of practice for unlicensed nursing personnel.
