About The Position

The Patient Care Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care to patients and their significant others under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This includes meeting patients’ dependency needs related to nutrition, hygiene, safety, and physical and psychological comfort. The technician performs job duties in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Work is primarily performed in patient settings and involves extensive interaction with patients, staff, physicians, family members, and visitors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Support patients’ needs related to nutrition, hygiene, safety, and physical and psychological comfort.
• Perform job duties in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
