About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, supporting and complementing nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse. The position carries out delegated skills that are within the functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel. CNA experience is closely aligned with the skills and responsibilities of this role.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age before the start date.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; certification may be completed as part of the orientation program if the candidate does not already hold it.
- Be able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of 12 college credits, or a high school diploma/GED with successful completion of Nursing Assistant training or equivalent, is preferred.
- CNA experience is relevant to the role.
