About The Position

This role focuses on providing high-quality patient care and advocacy in an acute care setting, specifically within Trauma, Orthopedics, and Plastics. The Patient Care Technician will assist patients with daily living activities and safe mobility to enhance their comfort, dignity, and recovery. Key responsibilities include proactive clinical observation, precise healthcare documentation, and maintaining a clean and functional patient environment with ready medical equipment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate clinical and non-clinical support, assisting patients with daily living activities (ADLs) and safe mobility to enhance overall comfort, dignity, and recovery.
Monitor and evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions, promptly communicating critical updates to the nursing staff to ensure immediate and continuous quality care.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring complete data integrity and compliance with healthcare regulations and facility standards.
Oversee care environment optimization by maintaining clean, organized patient rooms and ensuring medical equipment is sanitized, functional, and ready for clinical use.
