The Surgical Care Unit (SCU) is a 30-bed, fast-paced surgical unit that cares for a variety of post-operative patients, including orthopedic, spine, joint replacement, breast reconstruction, colon, and general surgery patients. Known for its clean surgical environment, strong team retention, and high patient experience scores, the unit fosters a collaborative culture where Patient Care Technicians work closely with nurses to provide exceptional patient care. PCTs play a vital role in supporting patient recovery through activities such as vital signs, mobility assistance, post-operative monitoring, admissions, and discharges. Team members enjoy self-scheduling, a fair floating rotation process, and a supportive environment that emphasizes teamwork, communication, and professional growth, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their clinical skills and pursuing future nursing careers. This position is a full-time Day shift working with 3-12 hour shifts from 6:00 AM–6:30 PM. We offer self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary, as there are no set or fixed days. Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role. Weekend shift differentials are offered, along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable. Great care starts with great people. (Like you.)
