Dialysis Experienced Patient Care Technician - OCDT
About The Position
DaVita Kidney Care is bringing its industry-leading clinical quality to patients on-site at skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through a new team called DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services. This role involves providing complete ongoing care for each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track, working in conjunction with dialysis RNs. The position is based at The Laurels of Huber Heights and may require supporting additional surrounding sites. DSD Dialysis care is a complex but fulfilling service line where meeting and/or exceeding clinical outcomes are the goals. Multitasking is an expectation to meet the needs of the service, the patients, and SNF partners. This role requires providing comprehensive patient care in an independent setting, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
Requirements
- MUST BE A CERTIFIED HEMODIALYSIS TECHNICIAN (OCDT)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook

Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track.
- Work in conjunction with dialysis RNs to provide dialysis care.
- Provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.
- Monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment.
- Measure and record stats.
- Make patient observations.
- Perform hemodialysis machine setup.
