About The Position

Patient Care Technicians provide high-quality care to patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), the most advanced stage of chronic kidney disease. The role involves monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, initiating cannulation, observing patients, and setting up hemodialysis machines. The position calls for technical skills and a genuine passion for building relationships with patients and improving their quality of life.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Desire to care for people and comfort working around blood and needles.
• Previous dialysis experience.
• Experienced PCTs must have current certification from BONENT, NNCC, NNCO, or, if applicable, another state-approved certification.
• Experienced PCTs must have current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
• Measure and record patient stats.
• Initiate cannulation.
• Observe patients during treatment.
• Set up hemodialysis machines.
