Patient Care Technician (PCT) Trainee
About The Position
Overlake Medical Center is offering an 11-week PCT Training program in partnership with Lake Washington Institute of Technology. This program is designed to prepare participants for roles as PCTs at Overlake. Upon successful completion of the program and securing a PCT position, participants are required to work for Overlake for at least one year. The training program includes 24 hours per week of paid training at $21.50 per hour, with all training costs covered by Overlake. Participants will also be eligible for Overlake benefits. Classes will be held at Lake Washington Tech, with clinical hours at Overlake. Upon program completion, participants will take the Certified Nursing Assistant test to earn their NA-C license. After obtaining the license, they will be placed in an open PCT role at Overlake at $24.95 per hour. Placements will range from .6 FTE (24 hours per week) to .9 FTE (36 hours per week). Open positions are often on the NIGHT shift, requiring schedule flexibility.
Requirements
- Must agree to work for Overlake for at least one year after completing the program.
- Schedule flexibility is essential, as open positions are likely to be on the NIGHT shift.
- Must provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization before the first day of employment.
