This PRN opportunity is for a Patient Care Technologist/OR Technologist at Baptist Medical Center Clay. The role involves assisting nursing staff with patient care, managing room stock and turnovers, transporting specimens, patients, and equipment, performing surgical patient shaves and preps, and holding retractors. Responsibilities also include sterilization of instrumentation and other duties as needed by the Operating Room Team. The position is located at Baptist Clay.
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
- None Surgical Services Experience
- Experience working in an Acute Care setting
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff with the delivery of patient care activities
- Room stock, room turnovers, transport of specimens , patients and equipment
- Surgical Patient shaves and Preps
- Retractor Holding
- Sterilization of instrumentation
- Other responsibilities vary to meet the needs of the Operating Room Team
