About The Position
This role involves providing support and care for patients with a wide array of diagnoses in a Medical Surgical unit. The Patient Care Technician will assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, take vital signs, and report findings to nursing staff. A key aspect of the role is contributing to the positive and encouraging physical, mental, and emotional support for each patient.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Nurse Aide preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and care for patients with a wide-array of diagnoses
- Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
- Take Vital Signs during your shift and report findings to nursing staff.
- Contribute to the positive and encouraging physical, mental and emotional support for each patient.
