Patient Care Technician I - Per Diem, 8am - 4pm - AMG Medical Subspecialties - Bridgewater
About The Position
AMG Sub-Specialty in Bridgewater is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Technician to work 8am-4pm. This role involves assisting patients with vital signs, weights, and heights, as well as aiding with mobility, transfers, and accommodations. Responsibilities include performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and blood glucose monitoring, taking patient histories, preparing examination rooms, and assisting with minor medical procedures such as wound care and vaccinations. The technician will observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN, prepare and organize supplies and equipment, and maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory. The ideal candidate will be willing to work with a diverse patient population, be attentive to detail, and possess excellent communication skills. All other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights
- Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, accommodations as needed
- Performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring if needed
- Taking patient histories, preparing examination rooms, and helping with minor medical procedures like wound care, vaccinations, and blood draws, if needed
- Observing and reporting changes in patients’ condition to the RN
- Preparing examination rooms as needed
- Documenting patient information and data, including vital signs, weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature
- Preparing, organizing, and efficiently utilizing supplies and equipment
- Maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory
- All other duties as assigned
