This is a per diem call center scheduler position, working days from 8 am to 4 pm. The role involves handling a large volume of inbound and outbound calls, SMS requests, and inquiries from patients and providers. The primary responsibility is to schedule appointments for physicians across various Atlantic Medical Group locations. The position requires accurate patient registration data collection, insurance eligibility verification, and performing flexible work assignments based on daily priorities. The scheduler will also manage patient referrals, ensure patients are informed about their appointments, and promote patient portal usage. Maintaining and updating patient accounts for medical and financial eligibility is crucial, requiring operation within Epic Work queues. The role also involves coordinating with patients and physician practices, performing real-time insurance verification, and communicating insurance participation and financial responsibilities. Supporting revenue cycle department goals and meeting individual productivity and quality expectations are key. Escalating cases as appropriate and reporting system errors to supervisors are also part of the role. The position requires maintaining knowledge of insurance requirements and completing all required trainings.
