Under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, the Patient Care Technician I delivers direct patient care, including obtaining vital signs, assessing surgical dressings, assisting with activities of daily living, performing phlebotomy, and collecting specimen samples. This position requires vigilant observation and effective communication of patient status to identify needs and ensure appropriate care delivery, while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to uphold patient safety and comfort. Additional responsibilities encompass supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges, maintaining patient environments and supplies, providing wound care and orthopedic device management, monitoring blood glucose levels, and promptly responding to patient alarms. The technician strictly follows safety protocols, facilitates efficient patient flow, and undertakes other duties as assigned in a full-time capacity.
